Catherine O'Driscoll is the founder of Canine Health Concern, a non-profit organisation that seeks to help dog owners raise healthy, happy, vibrant dogs.  She has brought the truth about pet vaccines to light, and promotes natural canine healthcare.

The thing is, dogs are not just waggy-tailed things who sit when you tell them to sit.  They are intelligent, loving beings who don't have the same vocal apparatus as humans.  This doesn't mean that they don't think, don't have emotions, and don't have souls.

On this website, we have assembled information that will help your dogs on a physical level, and also on an emotional and spiritual level.

Spirituality is all about relationship.  And love is not just that warm fuzzy feeling - it's about care, attention, and wanting the best for your beloved.

There's a great deal of free information on this site to help dog lovers to love their dogs, and repay them for the love they give us.

Just move your mouse over the 'home' and 'more' sections on the menu above, have a look at the natural products section, articles, or subscribe to the free monthly e-bulletin. You'll also find a number of options to increase your learning, with online lectrues, workshops, and consultations available.

What the animals teach us about health

Many years ago, as a responsible dog owner, I followed my vet’s advice to the letter. I fed the so-called complete and balanced food my vet recommended; I had my friends vaccinated every year as advised; and they were given steroids and antibiotics to treat their many illnesses. I believed that I was doing my best for my dogs.

But when they started to die years before their time, or came down with illnesses that destroyed their quality of life, I began to research the causes of health and ill health, and I changed my belief system. I began to look at other ways of caring for my friends.

I hope this site will provide you with the information to give you the best chance of having healthy long lived animals, and provide you with the something we all have a right to have - informed choice.
Alternative approaches to health

There are very many natural products available to help your animals stay healthy. Many herbs and nutritional supplements, for example, can be used to treat arthritis effectively. A good diet will alleviate most skin problems.

Allergies can be lessened or eradicated with a combination of diet and energy therapies. Behaviour problems respond really well to Emotional Freedom Technique. Dental problems, and subsequent surgery, can be avoided with the correct diet.

If you’d like to know more about the alternatives, where do you start? You start here, where you are now: at the animal in front of you. You take one step at a time, and eventually you will be an expert.
